STPI – Creative Workshop & Gallery kickstarts the 2025 art calendar with a presentation of works by artists from its international residency programme, including a strong local representation of seven Singaporean and Singapore-based artists.

Throughout Singapore Art Week, STPI will be participating in three highlight events: ART SG, Southeast Asia’s leading international art fair, S.E.A. Focus, a homegrown curatorial platform dedicated to Southeast Asian contemporary art, and a solo exhibition by Suzann Victor, Constellations, at STPI.

Returning to ART SG with works by acclaimed Cultural Medallion recipient Goh Beng Kwan, STPI will also present some of Singapore’s best-known contemporary artists: Hong Zhu An, Heman Chong and Genevieve Chua.

One of Singapore’s most prominent Post-war artists, Goh Beng Kwan produced evocative paper pulp works and etchings at STPI; the works resemble open seas, rich terrains and moods of elation, exploring his central theme of renewal—both in nature and in giving new life to ordinary materials.

Works by Singapore-based artists Hong Zhu An, Heman Chong and Genevieve Chua will be on show at ART SG, a testament to STPI’s enduring commitment to supporting the local arts scene. Beyond Singapore, exciting works by Natee Utarit (Thailand), Aaron Curry (USA) and husband-and-wife duo Alfredo & Isabel Aquilizan (the Philippines) form the rest of the booth presentation.

For the second year running, STPI will be collaborating with Beijing/ Lucerne-based Galerie Urs Meile for a special co-presented booth, reaffirming the gallery’s aim of fostering relationships between Singapore and the international art community.

The third edition of ART SG will run from 17 January to 19 January 2025, with STPI’s booth located at booth BA02. STPI is also the organiser of S.E.A. Focus, which will run from 18 January to 26 January 2025.
