Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 27.03.2026 — 29.03.2026

For Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, STPI returns to the Kabinett sector with works by artist duo Inga Svala Thorsdottir and Wu Shanzhuan (China/Iceland). Having recently exhibited at ART MATTERS in Hangzhou in 2024–2025, and Long March Space in Beijing in 2023–2024, STPI will be bringing a selection of works that spotlight the duo’s conceptual sensibilities on print and paper, deconstructing symbols, words and shapes to question our understanding of the world.

During their residency at STPI’s workshop in 2013, Thorsdottir and Wu explored how simple forms generate meaning. Their ‘Perfect Bracket’—a symbol that questions what is included or excluded—unfolds into shifting geometries that propose new ways of thinking, while their arctic fox works turn maps into ecological warnings. Together, the presentation traces a practice where basic shapes become tools for reimagining systems of knowledge, value and survival.

This follows STPI’s successful Kabinett presentations at the 2025 edition of Art Basel Hong Kong with the works of Kim Lim, and the 2024 editions of Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Basel Miami Beach, with the works of Ashley Bickerton and Lee Bul respectively.

STPI will also be bringing the works of artists Lee Bul (South Korea), Lin Tianmiao (China), Shinro Ohtake (Japan), Do Ho Suh (South Korea/United Kingdom), and the late Kim Lim (Singapore/United Kingdom).
